Jerry Haar is professor and former associate dean and director of the Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center in Florida International University’s College of Business Administration. He is also a senior research fellow at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a Research Affiliate of Harvard’s David Rockefeller Center of Latin American Studies. He has held visiting appointments at Wharton, Harvard, Oxford, Columbia and Stanford, and was a Fulbright Scholar at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas in Brazil. Dr. Haar also served as Director of Washington Programs for the Council of the Americas. He completed graduate study at Johns Hopkins, Columbia and Harvard and has authored numerous articles and books including “Winning Strategies for the New Latin Markets, Can Latin America Compete? Small Firms, Global Markets, and The Future of Entrepreneurship in Latin America, and Innovation in Emerging Markets” (forthcoming). He has consulted for multinational firms, small enterprises, and governmental organizations.
